Almost everywhere

Duet created in 2018 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights at the Thêatre de Chaillot in Paris.

Carolyn Carlson gathers dancer James Carlès for whom she has already created a solo in 2006 (concerto 5.31), and choreographer Taïgué Ahmed, whom she has met more recently in the context of his partnership with African Artists from Development and program « Refugees on the Move », in which Taïgué has intervened by creating dance workshops in a refugee camp in Chad.
For this short creation dedicated to Africa, but also to every culture and color of the world, Carlson has worked along with Aliocha Regnard, between music of the Eastern and Western worlds, from North to South…

“I call to you from behind a window
Shatter the glass between us
Touch your face of many tongues
Your hand the same.”
Carolyn Carlson
