Yacine Aït Kaci is a writer, director and French artist. Born in Paris in 1973, he graduates from the first digital section at the Ecole National des Arts Décoratifs and starts a career in multimedia creation (DVD-room at the Louvre in 1999) and audiovisual direction (Archimède broadcast on Arte).
In 2000, he co-founds the artistic group Electronic Shadow, that focuses on the link between reality and imagination, and creates numerous installations and innovations (invention of video-mapping in 2003, Grand Prix at the Japan Media Art Festival in 2005…) and several shows, one of which being Double Vision with Carolyn Carlson in 2006. In 2011, he creates Elyx, universal smiling character, projected in a post-digital era through the social media and becoming a true virtual personality. Elyx becomes the first virtual UN ambassador in 2015. YAK also produces a new musical show, WE ARE ONE, with the group RP3.
