Carolyn Carlson’s audiovisual archives are now online on numeridanse.tv : the Carolyn Carlson Collection gathers a selection of 50 documents among 150 digitized archives on more than 900 listed documents: movies, video recordings of shows, of rehearsals, improvisations, master classes, documentaries… from the 60’s to nowadays.
Besides this digitization project, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (BnF), whom Carolyn Carlson recently entrusted her archives to, carried out the inventory of the photos, interviews, texts, sketches, programs… no less than 10 000 documents.
This digitization project, originally run by the Atelier de Paris – Carolyn Carlson, has been made possible thanks to the support of institutions who accompanied the choreographer for several years : Centre Chorégraphique National Roubaix Nord-Pas de Calais, Carolyn Carlson Company, Maison de la Danse de Lyon, Théâtre de la Ville, Paris Opera, Teatrodanza La Fenice, Marseille National Ballet, Cinémathèque de la Danse and BnF.
